The cheesesteak was EXCELLENT. The Fries had just a hint of spice and were all crispy and delicious. No less than three people asked how my food and experience was and everyone was kind and friendly. And EVERYONE working was smiling and making the atmosphere extremely enjoyable. If you haven’t tried it it’s worth the trip.
Incredible. Not sure you can overstate how good the cheese steak and special seasoned fries are! Then along comes the baklava and oh my! That was a home run! Then the owner is genuinely a super nice guy. Giving his employees high 5s and the whole deal! Can't wait until my next visit! The only problem is deciding whether to stick with the AMAZING cheese steak or try something else on the menu that looks amazing!

Sam the owner was a very good host and made sure we where satisfied. Got a bit of everything for my wife and I for my wife and I. We loved it. Good to know it’s Halal/Kosher. Will definitely come again when in town.
2nd Time in a Week!! Chicago Dogs excellent. Italian Beef is not Portillo's…but good flavor a portion. Saw another customer with Catfish nuggets. Nice hidden Gem for good food, reasonable price!
FANTASTIC Place. Our first time there. Get the hot peppers on the side!!! The beef sandwiches are the best. The fries are awesome, and one of the best egg rolls. Meet the owner, was super happy to fill our bellies.
Enjoyed my Italian beef, though the smaller one would have been plenty. 😄 I knew when I was asked about a dipped bun, cheese, and/or peppers the chances were better for a yummy sandwich. I was very happy to see the peppers. It's a small thing, but you rarely get the correct ones - hot and canned with carrots, celery and peppers - outside of Chicago! Service was great. Fry oil was pretty fresh. Clean place. 😀 Thanks!
This was my second time at Sam’s Chicago Grill and I loved it even more! The food is always fresh and full of flavor out of this world, the cob fish is definitely my favorite, I can’t get enough of it. You can really tell the chefs care about what they’re making, they’re absolutely wonderful. Everything from the taste to the service keeps me coming back. Highly on a scale 1000/10 recommend! Philly cheesesteak, bbq chicken philly, catfish philly, lemon pepper wings, catfish were all great! No wait at all. The staff were amazing. They were welcoming and gave great suggestions. Oh Lord the best lemonade's were the blue raspberry, purple rain, and strawberry peach! Is my birthday and I'm from out of town. They gave me a free slice of cake and banana pudding for each order.
Sam's Chicago Grill on Cane Run Road never disappoints! The food was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The wings were cooked perfectly with a great crispy texture, the fries were seasoned just right, and the fried mushrooms were outstanding. The portions were huge, and the quality of the food was excellent. The staff was friendly, and the service was fast. If you're looking for great food and generous portions in Louisville, I highly recommend Sam's Chicago Grill. I'll definitely be back! Fred Moore
